Train emerged from San Francisco in 1993 during the height of the post-grunge frenzy. Their up-beat balladry brought them more success in the pop/rock world, where they rose to prominence on the strength of hit singles like “Calling All Angels” and “Drops of Jupiter.” With a sound that teetered between adult contemporary and alt-rock, Train was in a class all their own, continuously churning out hits through the early 2000s. Following some years off the charts, the group made their triumphant return to the top in late 2009 with the release of their fifth studio album Save Me, San Francisco, which housed major hits like “Marry Me,” “If It’s Love,” and “Hey Soul Sister,” the latter of which was certified 6x Platinum by the RIAA. Since their debut in 1993, Train has sold over 10 million albums and 30 million tracks worldwide.
