Memphis-based hip-hop artists Xavier Wulf began rapping early in life, drawing on inspiration from his favoritre rap group Bone Thugs-n-Harmony. The young artist got to work writing original material, recording at home and distributing through online platforms under the name Ethelwulf. He was eventually recruited to join the Raider Klan, a hip-hop collective consisting of SpaceGhostPurrp and several others. Wulf’s debut mixtape The Wolf Gang’s Rodolphe arrived in 2012 and he quickly produced several collaborations and mixtapes with the group before going solo one year later. Over the next few years, Wulf would continue to produce new music nonstop, releasing mixtapes, working on collaborations with Bones and Chris Travis, and putting out a full-length release with 2015’s Project X. Each release saw Wulf exploring new directions with his style, bouncing between the throwback vibes of his earlier projects as well as venturing into new territory.
