Xscape is an American female R&B, vocal quartet from Atlanta, Georgia. Forming as a five-piece in 1992, and then the following year becoming a quartet, they were then discovered by Jermaine Dupri who signed the group to his So So Def label. In 1993 they released their debut album Hummin’ Comin’ at ‘Cha, which included two of their biggest hits “Just Kickin’ It” and “Understanding”. In 1994, the album was certified Platinum. In 1998, the group disbanded to pursue solo projects, and reformed in 2017.
