From Jacksonville, Florida comes hard rock/alternative metal group Shinedown. Following the dissolution of his previous band (and still signed to his record label), front man Brent Smith began recruiting musicians to join the group in 2001. They would go on to sell six studio albums, including their platinum selling, post-grunge debut Leave a Whisper. Over the years, the group has polished their sound incorporating elements of different genres including pop-friendly hooks. Their crossover singles include "Bully" and "Cut the Cord" from Top Ten albums Amaryllis (2012) and Threat to Survival (2015). Shinedown has earned a total of 11 number one singles on the Billboard Mainstream Rock charts, the third-most of all time.
