The Cult is a post punk/gothic rock band from the UK. Highly active in the 80's, The Cult was well received in the underground post punk/gothic community in the UK. The band moved to London where they saw success at a mainstream level, helping to diversify popular music in London at the time. The group broke up in the 1991, only to have reunited 8 years later.
